The common misconception that all humans are made equal is evidently false. Everyday we see things and act according to what would make for a better chance of survival, in the evolutionary sense. Because tall people are more likely to be better at fighting they are more likely to have children, because smart people think of ways to improve upon their lives they are more likely to survive.
Im curious as to how many Einsteins would have been born in the 21st century if the church hadn't murdered most of the free thinkers? But if they were free thinkers then they must have had been smart enough to know not to make themselves known. Which is why today we have so many smart people with no way of expressing themselves. Throughout history it would have been seen as a disadvantage for a smart person to have expressed themselves in ways like this. The mere act of defending something an idea, would have gotten them killed.
This only shows how much affect, us humans have on the natural selection process. I was browsing the Darwin awards the other day and its sad that some people have come this far with half a brain.
Genes. its all to do with genes. My dad has great genes. my mother does not. on my moms side its riddled with poor eye sight, lazyness, and a general lack of inteligence. Whereas on my fathers side, we have great doctors, speakers, tall people, green eyes. It doesn't help me that my mom smoked cigarettes when i was in her womb. i joke with her saying imagine how much smarter i would be if you wouldn't have smoked.
Just imagine. but im not complaining i've been given a decent brain, a decent body, and a defective pair of eyes. Where would i be if things had been but a bit different. i know that a minor change in history could have had catastrophic affects on this day and age.
I could have just as easily not existed as you. So i cherish every moment of it. or at least i try to.
